About John Einreinhofer
I was first drawn to the practice of law for the chance to represent people who had been wronged against powerful interests like corporations, and insurance companies. I also wanted to help people on a contingency fee and fee-shifting basis: get paid when you get results. This allows people to take on corporations and insurance companies. My philosophy continued to develop focusing on personal attention to my clients and always being ready to go to trial and/or appeal when a fair settlement could not be reached. In 1994, this led me to open the Law Offices of John Einreinhofer. Over the next decades I applied this approach as I practiced in trial and appellate courts throughout West Virginia, Ohio and New Jersey, fighting for people to hold corporations and insurance companies responsible for injuries, deaths, sexual harassment and wrongful terminations.

I am committed to being local, accessible, and available when clients need me most. Virtual, home, and hospital appointments are offered—including evenings and weekends when necessary—so that legal help is always within reach.
With many years of experience in employment, injury, and insurance law, I provide each client with direct, personal attention. My practice is built on commitment, accessibility, and results.
Every case is handled with frequent personal communication, care, focus, and a dedication to achieving the strongest possible outcome.
I have successfully handled significant cases ranging from matters of personal injury and wrongful death to matters of wrongful termination and sexual harassment. My cases have been reported in legal reporters and the news media. I pay personal attention to your case, and will go to trial and appeal if the case cannot be fairly settled. My goal is to provide every client with exceptional legal service.
I take the time to understand your case, explain your options clearly, and pursue the strongest possible outcome. I also innovate in utilizing the latest technology and techniques. Most cases settle, but, if necessary, I see your case through trial and appeal. I provide exceptional localized service always while the latest technology makes it easier than ever to handle your case efficiently and effectively wherever you may be.
While legal matters and litigation can be stressful, I employ the most modern techniques when necessary to make the process as convenient as possible when best for the client, including but not limited to virtual meetings and appointments, electronic messaging and email. At the same time, phone and in-person consultations are also available. Letting you know you are not alone in your fight.
You want your case handled by the lawyer you contacted, not someone else. I will be personally involved in handling your case. I handle a deliberately limited case load, so every client receives direct access, timely communication and focused advocacy. Clients deal with a highly qualified and experienced attorney during a stressful time and can expect exceptional results and satisfying experience.
I also regularly accept referrals from other attorneys and co-counsel opportunities in employment, personal injury, wrongful death and insurance litigation.
Personal Background
I believe that family comes first, it is a life philosophy I try to follow and keep in mind while representing my clients. I am thankful to my family and all the good people who have allowed me to accomplish what I have. I also take into account people have all kinds of different situations in life. In addition to practicing law I enjoy spending time with family. I am an avid reader and enjoy reading in many areas especially current events, history, politics, psychology, music and sports. I listen to a lot of music. I have always been an avid sports fan and participant. In my high school days I was a varsity athlete in football and track and while an undergraduate at Ithaca College I also ran four years of track and played one year of football. I have been a close follower of the sport of boxing throughout my life and have commented on it and help rank boxers on the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board. I am also a lifelong baseball fan. I have also enjoyed playing hockey and basketball recreationally and returned to running after my school days first sprinting and in later years taking a huge interest in distance running. This has led me to marathoning and as of April 19, 2026, I have completed 19 marathons. My experience in sport has helped my legal practice in the competitive area of personal injury and employment litigation. I was born and raised in New Jersey and went to the West Virginia University College of Law. I love New Jersey and West Virginia and their people and have been fortunate to be able to remain connected to both places and spend time there. I also appreciate the people of Southeastern Ohio and my interactions with them. I still enjoy taking my vacations down the Jersey Shore.
